Peach Cinammon Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

1 cup of water

1 cup of granulated sugar

2 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced

2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions:

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Place it over medium heat.

Stir the mixture gently until the sugar has completely dissolved. This creates a simple syrup base.

To the saucepan, add the peeled and sliced peaches, and the cinnamon sticks. The ripe peaches will infuse the syrup with a natural, sweet flavor, while the cinnamon sticks will give a warm, spicy note.

Reduce the heat to low. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 20 minutes. During this time, the flavors from the peaches and cinnamon will meld with the simple syrup, creating a richly flavored liquid.

After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the peach slices and cinnamon sticks. Press on the solids gently to extract as much liquid as possible.

Transfer the finished peach cinnamon simple syrup into a clean bottle or jar. Ensure that it's sealed properly.

For best results and preservation, refrigerate the syrup. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
