Super Bowl Stuffed Mushrooms


1 lb Sausage

3 lbs Mushrooms

3 TBS Sour cream

1 lb Swiss Cheese

½-1 TSP Garlic Powder, more or less to your taste


Remove stems from mushrooms

Slice up stems.

In pan, mix sausage and saute for a few minutes.

Add garlic powder, sliced mushroom stems and sour cream, then cook on medium high until mushrooms brown.

Let mix sit for about 10 minutes until juice has reduced into mix.

Place mushroom caps with openings facing upwards on cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

Spoon mix into mushroom caps.

Slice Swiss cheese into 1” squares, then place on top of the filled mushroom caps.

Broil for 5-to-10 minutes (depending on size of mushrooms) until cheese melts and covers the mix and liquid appears on silver foil that insures the mushrooms are cooked.

Remove and serve.
